SARAJEVO – Gerusalemme d’ Europa. Fotografata dall’altro dei minareti, sinagoghe, chiese. ” Una città che nel suo centro ha quattro luoghi di preghiera. E’ raro. Un luogo musulmano, due cristiani, uno ebraico. A un centinaio di metri uno dall’altro. Non esiste in nessuna altra parte del mondo”. La citazione è dello scrittore ed accademico Predrag Matvejević, che con quelle parole in un’ intervista ha descritto Sarajevo, soprannominata Gerusalemme d’Europa proprio per questa sua caratteristica che l’aveva resa simbolo della convivenza multietnica.[...] Dall’alto in effetti tutto sembra diverso: guardando in giù i tappeti della preghiera del venerdì sembrano aiuole fiorite nella BašÄ aršija, La Pivara, la birreria di Sarajevo con lo stesso colore della Chiesa di Sant’ Antonio strappa un sorriso, La Papagajka che si affaccia sulla lamiera rovente della Sinagoga perde il volto di triste voliera per umani, le colline di fronte non sono più una minaccia per la Chiesa di San Giuseppe[...] Testi di Serena Guidobaldi.
