la guerra degli inceneritori

ASM Brescia

Waste incinerators, which are also referred to as ‘waste-to-energy plants’, are currently the subject of yet another bitter conflict within the current government. There are those who see them as the only solution to the problem of waste and those who would like to eliminate even those already existing. In these photos two incinerators (pardon: waste to energy plants) currently in service: the one in Brescia and Silla 2 in Milan, both managed by the company A2A, and the cement plant Holcim in Merone (Lecco), subject to decades of dispute by the inhabitants of the area because it is also used as a waste incinerator and waste to energy plant.
