Al CERN, l’Organizzazione europea per la ricerca nucleare, i fisici e gli ingegneri stanno indagando la struttura fondamentale dell’universo. Usano strumenti scientifici più grandi e complessi del mondo per studiare i costituenti fondamentali della materia, le particelle che vengono fatte collidere insieme quasi alla velocità della luce. Il processo dà ai fisici indizi su come le particelle interagiscono, e fornisce un quadro delle leggi fondamentali della natura.

They use the largest and most complex scientific instruments in the world to study the fundamental constituents of matter, the particles are made to collide together at nearly the speed of light.
