“Triumphs and laments” il colossale intervento dell’artista sudafricano William Kentridge. Novanta imponenti figure che ha scelto di rappresentare lungo i cinquecentocinquanta metri dei muraglioni interni del lungotevere da ponte Mazzini a ponte Sisto. L’opera nasce attraverso la pulitura selettiva della patina di smog che annerisce il manufatto: un articolato sistema visuale che si dissolverà con il tempo, sotto gli effetti dell’inquinamento.
“Triumphs and laments” the colossal intervention by the South African artist William Kentridge. Ninety imposing figures who chose to represent along the five hundred meters of the inner walls of the Tiber from Ponte Mazzini Sisto bridge. The work was created through the selective cleaning of the patina of smog that blackens the artifact: a complex visual system that will fade with time, under the effects of pollution.
