Siamo nella Bosnia nord occidentale, nel territorio del Cantone Una-Sana, dal nome dei due fiumi che lo attraversano. In questo territorio si concentrano i migranti della nuova rotta balcanica che quotidianamente tentano di passare la frontiera. Lo chiamano the Game, l’inseguimento del gatto con il topo tra le pattuglie di polizia e i migranti, sulle montagne ai confini di Croazia e Slovenia. Alcuni di loro arrivano a Trieste dopo 2 o 3 settimane di cammino, affamati, congelati, ma contenti di essere in Europa senza sapere veramente quanto la strada per ottenere dei permessi di soggiorno sia ancora molto lunga e incerta.
We are in north-western Bosnia, in the territory of Canton Una-Sana, named after the two rivers that cross it. In this territory are concentrated the migrants of the new Balkan route who daily try to
cross the border, they call it the Game, the cat and mouse chase between police patrols and migrants, on the mountains on the borders of Croatia and Slovenia. Some of them arrive in Trieste after 2 or 3 weeks of walking, hungry, frozen, but happy to be in Europe without really knowing how long and uncertain is still the way to get residence permits.
